When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored hashed). You may optionally provide additional profile information such as your work history, skills, and education as part of your career profile.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with the service, including pages visited, features used, and job offers you analyze. This helps us improve the product.
Job Offer Data
When you paste or import a job offer, the text is sent to our AI provider for analysis. This data is not stored longer than necessary to process your request.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service — generating tailored resumes, tracking job applications, and delivering the core features of JobLens.
- To improve the product — analyzing usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features.
- To communicate with you — sending transactional emails (account creation, password reset, important updates).

- AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) — to process job offer text and generate resume content. Data is transmitted under their data processing agreements.
- Cloud infrastructure providers — for hosting, storage (AWS S3), and database services.

Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, after which your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
